According to this report, the upcoming Sledgehammer release will be called Modern Warfare 3, completing the recent reboot trilogy spearheaded by Infinity Ward. Meant to be released for MWII Year 2.On May 11, Insider Gaming published a report claiming to be from industry insiders that outlined significant details regarding 2023's Call of Duty release. On top of MW2 (2009) maps, these would also include other classic maps from Infinity Ward, Treyarch & Sledgehammer's catalogue. To celebrate 20 years of Call Of Duty, a PAID "greatest hits map pack" is in development. Ghost of Hope had earlier also revealed that the upcoming Modern Warfare 2 that game is going to bring back all the maps from 2009’s MW2 as post-launch content. I can confirm this is true from what I’ve heard.
The sequel is reportedly going to bring in some futuristic twist to the Advanced Warfare, atypical of Call of Duty games. Sledgehammer has reportedly scheduled Advanced Warfare 2’s launch in 2025, so it’s going to be a while before we get to hear more about the game officially. Popular CoD leaker, Ghost of Hope, has revealed that Sledgehammer Games, makers of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare from 2014 are currently working on the game.
